GAMING CORPS in Austin, TX is looking for a passionate Gameplay Programmer to design, implement and maintain features of our growing game portfolio.


  • Work closely with designers in the creation of detailed feature specifications
  • Take gameplay features ownership
  • Design & implement robust & innovative solutions to technical & creative challenges
  • Write clean, robust, reusable code and create documentation where required
  • Take active role in providing time estimates and task breakdowns for project requirements
  • Work independently and with other departments
  • Help meet functionality, scope control, fun factor, and performance requirements
  • Provide technical input to other programmers; mentor junior programmers as appropriate
  • Independently identify areas for improvement and seek to make these changes
  • Experience with debugging- diagnosing and fixing code- your own or other programmers’


  • Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, and a proven track record with shipped titles
  • Excellent C#/C++ skills at a professional level
  • Strong knowledge of Unity
  • Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine 3 / 4
  • Ability to quickly familiarize yourself to work with a large existing codebase
  • Ability to prototype as well as producing final code
  • Strong debugging, profiling and optimizing, system design and 3D math skills
  • Good spoken and written communication skills
  • Excellent initiative, self-motivation, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of console game development and multiplayer development
  • Experience with tools such as Visual Studio, Perforce/other version control systems
  • Passion for making and playing great games


  • Good instincts for game design and fun and innovative gameplay
  • Flexible with schedule changes and shifting timetables
  • Ability to enhance code, features, or processes beyond assigned tasks
