Gaming Corps – Affiliate Interview – Whole Lotta Honey
In a recent Q&A, Alexandros Mavroudis, product owner at Gaming Corps, caught up with CasinoGuide to speak about the company’s latest release, themed around the sweet subject of honey, and explains how Gaming Corps is planning to strengthen its market position even further during 2026.
Tell us about a Whole Lotta Honey – sounds like a sweet game!
It’s a lot of fun, and we’re really excited about this one. It’s got a playful tone, but it’s very deliberate in how the mechanics stack and escalate. We’ve set Whole Lotta Honey within a buzzing (sorry!) beehive kingdom.
The action takes place within a fast-moving honeycombed grid, where symbols pay anywhere in view, and every winning combination triggers a tumble, which clears the way for fresh symbols to fall and keeps things fast and free-flowing.
What about the gameplay? What have you done to keep players engaged?
The Gaming Corps team has placed powerful multiplier symbols at the heart of the gameplay, which appear with values ranging from x2 up to x100 and apply to the total win, called the Bumble Win, at the end of a spin. These become active whenever they appear in view, and means wins can scale quickly as tumbling combinations stack on top of one another. But that’s not all, because we’ve added another layer of unpredictability through our Beehive feature.
This can activate on any spin outside of Free Spins, either injecting additional Scatter symbols to trigger the bonus or increasing the value of multipliers already in play. So there’s plenty going on at all levels of the game, which we’re sure will keep players gripped throughout.
Everyone loves a Free Spin – what happens with those?
They sure do. So, our Free Spins bonus is triggered by landing four or more Scatter symbols anywhere on the grid, which awards up to 14 Free Spins. Multiplier symbols have even more impact during Free Spins, because every multiplier that lands on a winning spin adds to a total multiplier that applies throughout the entire bonus round.
You can also retrigger additional Free Spins, which helps to keep ramping up the action as players chase the game’s top prize. That top prize, by the way, is up to 10,000x the total bet – a pretty sweet deal!
What was the thinking behind Whole Lotta Honey? What were your goals and aims when you were designing it?
The goal was to create a slot that never sits still. The tumbling grid, Scatter pays anywhere and special Beehive modifier all work together to keep the game buzzing, while the persistent multipliers in Free Spins give players a clear sense of progression.
Let’s talk a bit about Gaming Corps itself. You’re starting 2026 strong with Whole Lotta Honey, but what else do you have planned for this year?
We regard ourselves as a well-established mid-tier studio with tier-1 credibility. We’re one of a select few studios that are busy building franchises – our 3 Pigs games, for example – with innovative and experimental content, and that’s achieved through our Smash4Cash™ mechanic, which has been a huge success.
Also, we’re set to introduce a new vertical early this year, which will be our Marbles concept. I know we hear this a lot, but our latest innovation really is different from anything else on the market today. I can’t say any more right now, but you’ll be hearing plenty about Marbles soon.
That all sounds very interesting, and we certainly look forward to hearing more. What’s shaped your strategy for the year? What have you kept in mind when planning for the future?
We decided a while ago that our investments should primarily be centred around data and infrastructure. This then allowed us to make significant advancements in several key areas.
We have also strengthened our gaming roadmap so that it now includes some exciting additions. We also increased our focus on developing sequels, and our 3 Pigs game was the standout in helping us achieve that. We also introduced a new Remote Game Server (RGS) business programme, designed to offer our technology and distribution network to other game studios.
All these strategic moves have brought stability and strength right across Gaming Corps.
So what about the coming year – what will you be prioritising?
First of all, talent acquisition. Our primary focus is to strengthen our ranks with what we call the “correct” talent, and by that I mean people who are smart, innovative, brave, and fit in with our happy company culture.
They have to align with Gaming Corps’ philosophy and understand what we’re hoping to achieve. Any incoming talent must have value that seamlessly blends with the existing team, and with our company brand, too. Secondly, we also have a roadmap planned out for generating top in-house content, as well as supporting our RGS partner studios in achieving their goals and widening our portfolio at the same time.
I can confidently say that we now have the strongest roadmap in the history of the company. This year will see us generate more first-to-market examples of game-changing mechanics that we’re sure will resonate with players across all our markets.
We’ll also keep up a steady pace of entries into new markets – our main targets currently being South Africa and Alberta.
